This blog follows a series of work: Conversations with Landscapes investigating the performance of landscape that initially started as a postdoctoral project exploring the performance of the ocean, the atmosphere and the weather on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts of North America. Gradually, the research grew into other geographically diverse regions, landscapes and environmental subjects, such as the rain forest on the west coast of Canada, contrasting geologies of the Icelandic landscape,  bioluminescent glow worm colonies in Wollemi National Park or the study of the epicormic growth in the Blue Mountain region of Australia, for instance.

Conversations with Landscapes follows performance beyond the stages of theatres and exhibition halls and views the actions of nature, such as the weather, tides, or the growth of flora, and/or the behavior of fauna, in itself, as performance.  It strives to understand how local communities respond to climatic changes and how these experiences can be woven into the very performance fabric that inspires audiences to become the agency that activates the ultimate performance of landscape, in the context of global ecologies within technologically driven scenographic environments that I construct.
